Blended Learning Course and Exam
This course is a combination of the AFO Blended Learning Online Course, a one-day training with an AFO Instructor, and the exam is administered at the end of the training.

AFO Online Learning Course: This course provides in-depth instruction on all facets of aquatic facility operation and management. Including: Water Chemistry, Filtration, Disinfection, Water Testing and Treatment. It includes 6 modules = 7 hours of learning. Participants must complete the entire Online Learning Course and provide a certificate of completion prior to coming to the in-person training.

Instructor Training: This course provides in-depth instruction on all facets of aquatic facility operation and management. Including: Mechanical Systems, Facility Environment, Hot Tub and Special Case Pool Operation and Risk Management.

AFO Exam: The exam is paper/pencil or online and administered by the AFO Instructor. Results are provided immediately. (*Now available in Latin American Spanish upon request for the paper/pencil exam only.)

Additional Information about the AFO Blended Learning Course and Exam
The AFO Blended Learning Course is a combination of the AFO Online Learning Course, an in-person
training with an AFO Instructor and the exam administered at the end.
− Online Learning Course – 7 hours, 6 modules
− In-Person Instructor Training – 5 hours with AFO Instructor
− AFO Exam – 3-hour examination, given at the end of the in-person instructor training.
• Participants MUST complete the online learning course, and provide verification of completion, prior to coming to the in-person instructor training.
• You will have 2 weeks to complete the online learning course.
• The course has been pre-approved for 1.5 CEU’s. Participants must complete the online learning course
and attend the in-person training to receive the 1.5 CEU’s.
• Refund/Cancellation policy: Refunds for the course will not be issued once the AFO Online Learning Course is
started.
• Candidates sitting for the AFO certification examination must be 18 or older and have earned a high
school diploma or equivalent.
• Please indicate whether or not you require any special accommodation or English as a second language at check out.
